Valle Calchaquí

Cafayate is the wine capital of Salta, at 1,680 masl in the Calchaquí Valley. Sandy and stony soils of volcanic origin with low organic matter. High-altitude arid climate, with sunny days, very cool nights and minimal rainfall. Birthplace of Torrontés Riojano, Argentina's most emblematic white grape. It also produces Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon with spicy and elegant profiles.
